FANG Ke

Biography

FANG Ke is a young Chinese composer, PhD in composition at the St. Petersburg Conservatory of Music in Russia. Born in Xiamen in 1996, he is devoted to classical music since childhood. Starting from 2013, Ke pursued his study on composition with Chinese composer Kong Lingwei. In 2015, he successfully made his entrance to Nizhni Novgorod State Conservatory in Russia, studying under prestigious Composer Boris Gezelev. Ke’s works have been awarded in many international composition competitions like the New York Golden Key Composition Competition, the Composer-Union Composition Competition of Russian, Russia, to name a few. Meanwhile, these works have played at festivals in various countries and regions. His works are of wide range, from solo, vocal to chamber music and symphony. Keen on combining Western modern orchestration with Eastern traditional philosophy, he featured his compositions with Eastern culture elegance.
